The crawl opens out in the wall of a 7-11 Chamber. This is part of a large shaft, with high aven (>40m?) [C2001-204-72 X] and deep main pitch (>40m?) [C2001-204-68 A]. The chamber floor is reached by a y-hang followed by a single bolt rebelay and rope protector. Treversing across the blocks on the floor leads to a short climb up (rope advised) over a ridge ([C2001-204-69 A]) into parallel shaft (7m deep). The base of this is choked with boulders; an uninviting wriggle between these leads back towards the main pitch.

Back at the entrance to 7-11 Chamber, an exposed traverse around the north-western corner of the shaft leads to a small muddy window. This is a small chamber with small muddy passage sloping downwards. Following this for a short distance arrives at a loose funnel; rocks thrown into this rumble down into the main pitch.

Near the southern end of Wolpertinger Way on the left of the passage as one descends, is a small low crawl size passage at right angles to Wolpertinger way.The passage continues for 65m slightly climbing and remaining approximately the same diameter throughout its length. The passage ends too tight but on the right there is an impassable (at present) connection with a moderately sized chamber but the use of plug and feather may enlarge the connection to allow passage.

At the end of the Near End near Kidney Bean a small awkward chamber was found by moving a large boulder and almost crushing Simon Lee in the process. This was found to give onto the head of an 18m pitch which was rigged with a bolt and a sling around a natural. A narrow rifty pitch was descended with the aid of a deviation about half way down to arrive in a small chamber with multiple ways on. The most obvious way looked out on to a large chamber named Pleasure Dome. To the left, whilst facing Pleasure Dome, a crawl, leads to a T junction, the left side leads a pitch into Pleasure Dome. The right leads to another pitch, which presumably also leads to Pleasure Dome. This pitch can be traversed around, to a continuing crawl to the right [C2000-204-52 C] and passage that joins to the righthand way out of the base of 'King Carbide. This passage enters a moderately sized chamber, with a rift descending into the floor on the left [C2000-204-50 C], which may provide water for the waterfall into pleasure dome. Over the rift, to the left is a partially bolder filled passage [C2000-204-51 B]. To the right over the rift, and around the rift to the right, two passages shortly emerge in No Pain No Gain.

The first pitch of drilling delight is rigged with a back up in the floor of the downward sloping floor, with a Y hang from bolts on a vertical part of the ceiling over the pitch. This leads down to a ledge, which required a rebelay off a natural. At the bottom of the pitch, a crawl leads to the left[C2001-204-62 C], a 1m climb up to the right immediately leads to the next pitch. Near the bottom of this pitch, a further small pitch continues downwards[C2001-204-64 B]. A walking passage heads south-east for a short distance, and a squeeze can be gone through to the left, to a small chamber. Straight on a short climb leads to a rift with a too tight slot in the floor to an echoing pitch. To the right is another climb which may need a few bolts for protection[C2001-204-63 B].
Further investigation through the squeeze revealed that the climbC2001-204-63 B]ended in another short ascending aven with a blind roof. This was not surveyed as the climb was not ascended coupled with the reluctance of other members of the team to pass the squeeze. The pitch QM [C2001-204-64 B]was descended using the rope from the previous pitch and a rebelay which continued for a further 9m and ended in a blind pool or a sump which was not investigated further.

The landing at the bottom of the pitch is on an unstable boulder ridge on the floor of a chamber measuring about 10m by 20m, on one side is what looks to be a 3m deep blind trench which has been observed to take a sizable stream in wet weather[C2000-204-66] and on the other the chamber floor slopes away gradually, leading to the head of Brians Phat shaft and on the right of the chamber as one descends the slope to a short climb up a large boulder into another slightly larger chamber measuring about 25m by 12m with a fairly level boulder strewn floor. In the far left hand corner after a small climb up was a small passage with a false floor. After 10m crawl, a window was found which looked out on to the head of a 30m pitch which was descended using a deviation in the opposite wall at 3m from the head of the pitch. The pitch was mainly circular at the top, becoming more rifty as it was descended. The base of the pitch landed on a boulder floored chamber with two ways on. The route to the north was a narrow climbing rift passage leading to a choke with no way on and no leads. The route to the south and east is a shorter and wider passage with a dogleg to the left. In the left hand wall about 3m up a short climb is a small body size tube through which water could be heard. [C2000-204-65 B] After derigging the pitch to the pitch-head the top of the pitch was descended after a short distance (4m) to a ledge which was then traversed round to the right to gain a saddle between the pitch previously descended and a large diameter pot. This was descended with difficulty due to the crap nature of the rock. The pitch enters part way down the first pitch after Millenium Dome. The pitch landed on a rubble floor next to a blind pit noted in the White Elephant description and may well be the parallel shaft [C1999-204-25 B].

Brians phat shaft

At the bottom of the slope of the first chamber of Pleasure Dome by ducking under a drippy rock flake, a mobile boulder slope is encountered leading steeply down to the top of a large 100m shaft. The pitch was rigged with a bolt backup at the top of the slope and a Y-Hang at the pitch-head. By

a back and foot traverse to the right a small passage can be accessed which was not explored at the time[C2000-204-72 B]. The main pitch was descended by a series of rebelays and deviations. The shaft was essentially vertical and oval in cross section belling out for the bottom 30m. Also in the bottom 30m were various
galleries with what looked like possible windows into passages although the light used was not strong enough to say whether these were ways on or just alcoves. These need further investigation by possible deviation or pendulum:

Germknödels Revenge is the short connection between 204e and the Treeumphant end of Boulder Coaster. 204e is a low square hole in the face of a cliff. From here a low passage leads down and to the right. A short climb down and up again brings one to the top of the pitch. The (awkward) passage from 204f is a small tube sloping uphill at ~45° on the right, and a possible QM from across the top of the shaft.

A backup and Y-hang are followed by a rebelay or short deviation next to a window into a parallel shaft (There may be undocumented QMs in this shaft). The pitch narrows below the deviation, to a rebelay where it bells out to several metres diameter. The remaining drop is in a fine open shaft, passing a ledge a few metres off the floor, into Crowning Glory Chamber

204f is a hole in a pile of boulders a few metres up the surface gully from 204e. A small tube descends towards 204e via a couple of bouldery squeezes. The tube becomes steeper with a black space beyond. A light shone down this tube reveals that it connects to the top of the pitch reached from 204e.

A walking sized passage goes from Crowning Glory passage to Crowning Glory Chamber where 204 e and 204 f drop in from Germknödels Revenge, daylight being just visible. A rift intersects the chamber, at the north end[C2000-204-12 C],[C2000-204-13 C]. An initialy walking passage, which degenerates to crawling passage, which leads from The Colonade. After 15m, a 1m diameter tube continues straight on[C2000-204-33 B], whilst the explored route turns right. After another 30m a small passage bears to the right[C2000-204-24 C]. A further 15m leads to a small chamber with large dubious bolders on a sloping floor. Straight on is [C2000-204-25 C], and there is a pitch in the floor[C2000-204-101 B], which can be stepped over. This leads to a key hole passage with a rift disappearing on the right[C2000-204-32 C], which may be descendable. The key hole passage then turns right, straight on at this point a small stream enters, where there is an aven above[C2000-204-27 X], and a flat out crawl entering from the right[C2000-204-26 C] , this ends in a mud floored chamber with an aven[C2000-204-28 X]. Continuing along the key hole passage, a passage intersects, and the keyhole passage becomes blocked. To the right, another passage intersects which quickly becomes too tight in both directions, the passage continues straight on to a small partially mud filled passage[C2000-204-29 C].
