Nicky Davies (Kings, 1977-80, Committee 1977-80) showed great promise on her
|
|
first novice meet by following the leader into the most squalidly muddy bit
|
|
of Merlins and emerged more cheerful than anyone else. She happily bottomed
|
|
Penyghent on New Years' Eve (her tenth trip) and a few days later was handed
|
|
a tackle bag with 300' of stiff 11mm rope which she carried through the
|
|
abominable approach to Vulcan Pot in Nick Pot without a squeak. She is now a
|
|
leading fell runner (although already a "veteran"!).</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Expeditions 1978 and 1983, the former as part of "Team Youth/ladders"
|
|
exploring <span lang="de-at">Gemsehöhle</span>
|
|
