<h1>Expo 2005: Surface work hitlist</h1>
<p>This is essentially a QM list for surface work, combined with a
documentation to-do list, intended to record things that need exploring or
surveying outside our main target caves. This list is maintained by Dave, as
kataster administrator.</p>

<h3>Stuff near 204</h3>
<ul>
<li><b>Noted but undescended caves:</b></li>
<ul>
<li><a href="../../smkridge/2002-X09/2002-X09.html">2002-X09</a>, <a

GPSsed by Dunks in 2002, on a single long circular prospecting walk round the
back of the Nieder Augst-Eck. Most of these are untagged, and have been given
retrospective numbers (indicated by the X prefix).</li>
<li><a href="../../smkridge/2004-10/2004-10.html">2004-10</a>: discovered by
Becka and Nial, lying just north of <a

<li><a href="../../smkridge/2004-13/2004-13.html">2004-13</a>: near 161G and
161H. Almost certainly goes into Iceland if it goes anywhere, but worth
checking out.</li>

of 204C. Need checking out to see if they go anywhere; might yield a new 204
entrance!</li>
<li>2002-02 aka <a href="../../smkridge/234/234.html">234B</a>: has a voice and
light connection to an aven in 234, but would be worth descending to tie in the
loop.</li>
<li>Untagged cluster of strongly draughting entrances located by Becka and Nial
near <a href="../../smkridge/2004-11/2004-11.html">2004-11</a> (GPS coordinates
in <a href="../2004/logbook.html#bnprospect">2004 logbook</a>) - some may require
hammering and/or capping?</li>
</ul>
<li><b>Other leads:</b></li>
<ul>
<li>239 (Rock'n'Roll h&ouml;hle): Continuing passage at the other side of
Mersonified pitch-head, trending towards 204 (although not very deep); may
require a loony bolt traverse.</li>
<li><a href="../../smkridge/2004-19/2004-19.html">2004-19</a> (Kindergarten):
pitch in floor of main passage.</li>

<ul>
<li><a href="../../smkridge/2000-08/2000-08.htm">2000-08</a>: Dig poised above
Merry Fucking Christmas. If I can work out a sensible and safe rig to get into
it, then I might have ago at it with a crowbar and a shovel.</li>

determine if they actually go anywhere. 02 is not promisingly placed, but 03 is
just above the Colonnade in 204.</li>
<li><a href="../../smkridge/2004-21/2004-21.html">2004-21</a>: Dig out the
mysterious passage going down to the right (which is sometimes snow-choked but
has never been descended). Danger of attack by flying saucers. (Needs tagging,
as well.)</li>

<li><b>Surveying, tagging and documentation jobs:</b>
<ul>
<li>The Quarries (<a href="../../smkridge/2002-07/2002-07.html">2002-07</a>, <a

consultation with Frank and determine if they go anywhere, and if there is a
link to 204.</li>
<li>204C: stabilise the choke if possible and drop a tape measure down it.</li>
<li>161G + H: currently numbered as 2003-06 and 2004-12 respectively; to be
tagged with new numbers.</li>

<li><a href="../../smkridge/2003-07/2003-07.html">2003-07</a>: it is not clear
if this cave really exists. A walk over that way to determine which tags are
where is in order.

<h3>Stuff near 76</h3>
<p>I know nothing about this beyond what is in last year's logbook; apparently,
owing to Olly's GPS rather usefully forgetting all the coordinates, a bunch of
caves found in 2004 (2004-01 to 2004-09 inclusive) need refinding, along with
several older caves such as 108 and Tantalus Schacht.</p>
<p>(Actually the logbook only explicitly mentions 2, 5, 6, 7 and 9, but 1, 3, 4
and 8 presumably exist as well &mdash; ?)</p>
