Expo 2013 needs / Suggestions from expo 2012
O-rings for hangers
- More maillons
- Purple gear tape
- All CUCC gear marked with purple tape BEFORE Expo including stuff
bought on gear order
- 3 BIG tacklesacks
- New drybags for drills (current ones leak) or alternative way to
keep drills dry
- Slings of different lengths
- Maybe more carabiners - check
- Tom Yam/Mi Goreng noodles (lots!)
- Maybe phone for top camp (handset broke in 2012 and we borrowed
Wookey's old Nokia for the last half but this has been returned to
Wookey ... however, we do still seem to have 2 working handsets)
- Updated emergency callout sheet, laminated, for base and top camp,
with checked phone numbers for local Austrians and cave locations
given in standard GPS / multiple coordinates
- Hand wash gel (expensive in Austria and only available in tiny
bottles)
- Small amount of washing up liquid for derigging team at top camp
to clean grey crates etc
- Enough UK teabags to supply base camp as well as top camp -
Austrian ones are expensive and make nasty tea
- Strong sandwich bags for carrying flapjack (lots needed)
- Strong and preferably smallish bin bags for top camp (buy
plenty)
- Tortellini for top camp to go with pesto
- Junk BINNED at start of 2013 at base camp and anything not needed
taken down from top camp at START of expo
- More blowing tubes for drills
- Safety goggles for top camp
- Expo dinner choices printed out and in Sesh book
- Better system for rubbish - check with Hilde why it isn't
collected and if necessary dispose of it ourselves every 10 days - a
rank fly-ridden mess left at end of Expo
- Fewer Beir pages - the blanks are too embarrassing
- Guide on how to spell B-I-E-R
Things Expo 2013 does ***not*** need (more of)
- Red varnish
- Survey notebooks
- Mashed potato
- Cheese sauce powder
- Hilti drivers (8 at top camp, can we sell some?)
- Hammers

- Hand bolt spits
Sponsorship ideas
