Philip arrived by train at lunchtime. Joined Martin for serious nerding to get WiFi internet working in potato hut.

Attempted to get network potatohut working, Joel (?) had already done all the wiring (correctly).

Problem seems to be in the acer aspire netbook.

Tried both routers, Netgear and TP-Link, and saw the same problem.

basecamp - nerding again

Everyone due to come down from plateau due to bad weather forecast. Much shopping for food being done.[Netgear router seems to have got into an IP6-only state. RETIRED pendiong further investigation.

SUCCESS. Internet now working in potato hut. Problems were due to non-working internal wifi on netbook causing config problems even though it was not being used.

plateau - []

Ash, Merryn, Amelia in [com?] Phil.B., Sarah and me went up to the plateau in the morning. We carried own gear up, helped with some top camp tasks (tarp, electrical system,carrying rope around) and came down the mountain.
