Tim Vasby-Burnie (Trinity 1997-2000, President 1998-99, Dinner organiser
1999-2000). CUCC were going through a "thin" patch in the late nineties,
and Tim, one of the more enthusiastic of another small intake of new
members, very gamely volunteered to lead the 1998 expedition when Julian
Haines retired to the back benches with "leader fatigue". The expedition,
a small one, went well. Tim was mostly involved in exploration in
Kanincheh&ouml;hle via the 161d entrance.
<p>The photo was taken at the P-8 layby in the Peak District on the
first novice meet, October 1998.
