John Cordingley diving to search for a resurgence in the bed of
Altausseer See in 1989. Impenetrable risings in sand and rocks were
eventually found at a depth of 36m, but rather more excitement was
caused by the finding of a human humerus, and later a foot in a shoe.
These turned out to be part of a local man who had fallen from a boat
and drowned in 1955.
