<b>Schneevulkanhalle</b> of Schwarzmooskogeleishöhle. This is about 10m
|
|
|
|
|
of vertical ice in late summer, but would apparently be much easier earlier
|
|
|
|
|
in the season, before the ice had eroded this much. When seen in May 2000,
|
|
|
|
|
the angle was much easier, more like 60 or 70° rather than vertical. The
|
|
|
|
|
lead was not tackled on Expo 1999, as there seemed more promising things
|
|
|
|
|
available. However, as more is explored and some geological information has
|
|
|
|
|
become available, it looks increasingly as though this climb would be worth
|
|
|
|
|
tackling.
